Panorama 2014 Launches in January

One hundred and seventy four (174) steelbands have signaled their intent to participate in Panorama 2014 which will be officially launched on Friday January 03rd 2014, at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain, from 9:00 pm.

The figure represents 20 Large Conventional, 27 Medium Conventional, 58 Small Conventional and 69 Single Pan Bands at the close of registration in March.

Pan Trinbago celebrated the Golden Anniversary of Panorama in 2013 with a series of activities marking the milestone.

The festivities continue next year under the banner “Celebrating The Evolution of Pan……”

The launch of the 51st edition of Panorama at the Mecca of Pan, the Queen’s Park Savannah, will feature reigning champions, Petrotrin Phase 11 Pan Groove, NGC Steel Xplosion along with Neal & Massy Trinidad All Stars, Fusion Steel, Free Lancers, Roy Cape & Blaxx, Black Stalin and DJ KC Klass Is Class.

Advance tickets are priced at $100. and will be available at the advertised outlets.

Several persons will be honored at the event.

Panorama is the signature steelpan event on the National Cultural Calendar.

The first phase of the competition is the National Single Pan Competitions in the various regions which will run from January 30th to February 03rd 2014, at venues to be announced.
