Port of Spain, Trinidad, Tuesday, February 11, 2025: Featuring collections from eight of the nation’s leading fashion houses, Carnival is Fashion Too, a fashion show embodying our Carnival’s legendary costuming and exhibitionistic flair, dazzled more than 400 guests in attendance at the Queen’s Park Savannah on Sunday, February 9.

With the historic Big Stage transformed into the perfect colourful catwalk, Carnival is Fashion Too showcased new and provocative styles from The Cloth; Indigenous Designs by Dominique La Roche; Peter Elias; Lisa Faye; Zadd and Eastman; Mark Eastman; Heather Jones; and Charu Lochan Dass.

The inaugural, and first of its kind event was hosted by the National Carnival Commission of Trinidad and Tobago (NCC), and curated by Creative Director, Richard Young, as a way of raising the bar for Carnival and Fashion excellence by treating enthusiasts to a vibrant display of fete wear, Monday wear, and show-off wear.

Carnival is Fashion Too treated patrons to musical entertainment by Shal and featured inspiring Traditional Carnival Character presentations and a steel pan performance by Keisha Codrington.

In addition to bringing together many from the local and regional fashionista markets, Sunday’s event also attracted several well-known personalities like Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons; former Miss World, Giselle La Ronde; and vocalist, Vaughnette Bigford.

The NCC joins with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, Visit Trinidad, Pan Trinbago, and the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival Bands Association (TTCBA) in thanking all who attended the show, grateful for the opportunity to demonstrate an ongoing commitment and support of the Carnival, Cultural, and Fashion industries of Trinidad and Tobago.
