Savannah Party Starts at 1:00pm on Sunday
Starting time for the National Panorama Medium & Large Bands Semi Finals aka Savannah Party is 1:00 pm and not 9:00 am nor 11:00 am as reported in several publications.
Fourteen (14) Medium and fourteen (14) Large Bands will face two separate adjudication panels as they perform their tune of choice at the Queen's Park Savannah, Port of Spain, on Sunday 28 January 2018.
The competition which is Pan Trinbago's flagship event is in its 55th year.
Starting the Savannah Party at 1:00 pm sharp is the band from Black Rock, Tobago, Petrotrin Katzenjammers in the Medium Band category. They have opted for Winston Henry's "Lorraine" with FC Supernovas playing Patrice Roberts' "Sweet For Days" at number 14 in the Large Band category.
This year's theme is "Steel Crescendo…. Explosion of Music and Rivalry".
Patrons at this year's Panorama will be treated to a wide range of music including "Year For Love", "Hello", "Inside the Festival", "Sweet For Days" and "Lightning Flash" among others.
Tickets priced at $200. (Grand Stand), $350. (North Stand) and $250. (North Greens) are available at NLCB Via Outlets and on the day of the event at the Savannah. Gates open at 10:00 am.
On Saturday, thirty (30) Small bands will compete in the semi-final round in front of Victoria Square, Park Street, Port of Spain, from 1:00 pm. Admission is $100. Payable on entry.
