NCC TO HOST 2nd ANNUAL MEET AND GREET DURING MIAMI-BROWARD CARNIVAL 2024 CELEBRATIONS

Port of Spain, Trinidad, Monday, September 30, 2024: As part of the annual Miami-Broward Carnival 2024 calendar of events, the National Carnival Commission of Trinidad and Tobago (NCC) will bring a unique taste of Trinbago Carnival culture at the second annual NCC Stakeholder Meet and Greet at Lallo’s, 1400 N State Road 7, Lauderhill, FL 33311) on Friday, October 11, 2024, from 3pm to 5:30pm.

Hailed as a success last year, the Meet and Greet blends Trinbagonian flavour and a message of Trinidad and Tobago Carnival 2025, set to take place on March 3 and March 4 in Trinidad and Tobago. The Meet and Greet also provides a networking forum and facilitates discussion and information sharing about Trinidad and Tobago Carnival.

The NCC hosts the Meet and Greet as part of an ongoing international campaign to promote Trinidad and Tobago Carnival and culture through outreach to the Diaspora and encourage tourism for Trinidad and Tobago Carnival by giving a taste of what the “Mother of All Carnivals” has to offer.

Colourfully enhanced with indigenous performances by Traditional Carnival Characters and featuring guest appearances by well-known entertainers, the event intends to build on the success achieved in 2023 in promoting Trinidad and Tobago Carnival internationally.

On Sunday, October 13, during the opening segment of the annual Parade of the Bands, the NCC will showcase a live-action theatrical exhibition, featuring Traditional Carnival Characters. The NCC will have a booth on the day where it will showcase Trinidad and Tobago’s rich Carnival history and offer attractive T&T Carnival-branded merchandise for sale.

In anticipation of a productive and successful campaign, the NCC looks forward to strengthening relationships within the Miami-Broward communities, forging new bonds with a wider range of Carnival stakeholders.

The NCC wishes to thank the Miami-Broward One Carnival Host Committee (MBOCHC) and Caribbean Airlines for their support. The NCC thanks the people of Trinidad and Tobago and the people of Miami for their ongoing support of Trinidad and Tobago Carnival culture and promotional efforts.
